Happy Birthday Kevin!

Kevin is 12!
Wow, I can't believe it! He's certainly tall enough, and mature enough, and smart enough, and he's already been on his first scout overnighter and survived, but I'm not sure I'm ready for my cute little Kevin to be 12! I've known this was coming, so I have prepared myself, though. And Kevin has always seemed older than his age, but still! My kids are growing up way too fast.

Isn't he handsome? Kevin will receive the Aaronic Priesthood next week.

All our great kids.
The thing to note in this pic is that Scott has finally decided to start growing. He is within one inch of Camille and is exactly the same height as me (we measured). Maybe Kevin won't pass him up -at least for a few more years!

Here are a couple of video clips in honor of Kevin's birthday. The first is of Camille and Scott discussing their new baby brother before he was born, and the second is just Kevin being silly!

Family Movies

I've been editing our old family movies and putting them on DVDs so we can actually watch them. I decided to put some clips on my blog from time to time that I think are cute or funny. I like this one because it really shows Scott's personality. He has always been fearless and has taken life's ups and downs with a smile. We probably should have forseen his snowboarding days back then, because he was a little adventure seeker!

Spring in Utah!

Monday we went on a beautiful hike with sunshine and blue skies. Yesterday I sat at Scott's soccer game in the rain and watched him turn a white uniform almost pure brown, and today I took this picture out my back door! I don't know whether to laugh or cry!

Take a Hike!

On Monday the kids were out of school, so John took the afternoon off and we suggested going for a hike. The boys love to hike with their friends on the mountain across the road from our house, so they wanted to take us up there. It was a beautiful view, but my goodness, I felt like a mountain goat. Next time I'll suggest something with, I don't know, maybe a trail?! We had a good time, though, and we all made it down in one piece, even me!

John took this picture of Kevin holding our house in his hand!

Happy Easter!

Kevin and Matt were my only egg decorators this year! So sad! They made some awesome eggs, though!Notice our fridge has panels (and handles -yay!) on it now. John did a great job on them!

Beautiful!

On the way home from Mommer and Grandpa's we stopped at Oak Hills Elementary and Camille and John reminisced. They were sure that everything was much bigger back when they went to school there!

REAL Salt Lake

On Saturday we went to the Real Salt Lake soccer game. It was a little rainy and chilly but we were under the canopy and dressed warm, so we had a great time. The team won, so it was even better! We took a couple of Scott's goofy friends with us. Scott actually drove the whole way down to Salt Lake. He's getting to be a pretty good driver. Not too many white knuckles!
